Opera VPN one of the fastest and most reliable VPN services has announced that it is shutting down its VPN app. For the past couple of years, Opera has been offering its own VPN service. The desktop browser has a built-in VPN service. The Opera VPN app for Android and iOS allows users to use the VPN services as well. According to a post on the Opera VPN website, Opera is “discontinuing the Opera VPN app for iOS and Android from April 30, 2018”. The Opera VPN app allows users to connect to countries around the world. It also includes some extra tools to prevent tracking and test their security.
With the free version, Opera also offers an Opera VPN Gold service that increases speeds, adds more countries to the mix, and also adds dedicated customer support, all for $30/year. But both the free version and the Gold version will soon be discontinued. Also, there are some users who have already paid for this app beyond the end of this month. For those users, Opera is offering Opera Gold users a free 1-year subscription to SurfEasy Ultra VPN.
